Pat Froelich
I know from experience that starting counseling can be a difficult step — and one that often takes a lot of courage. I’ve also seen, over years of clinical work, that real change is possible for people. Not instant fixes or easy answers, but steady, meaningful growth in individuals, relationships, and families.
I earned a bachelor’s degree in Finance from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a master’s degree in Counseling from Reformed Theological Seminary. My professional background includes extensive experience in Christian ministry, including campus ministry, pastoral ministry, and overseas church planting.
A significant part of my clinical work has been with couples and families, and I have extensive experience in marriage counseling. I’ve walked with couples through seasons of disconnection, conflict, betrayal, rebuilding trust, and learning healthier ways to communicate and love well.
I’ve been married for 17 years, and my wife and I have three teenage boys. Family life has been one of my greatest teachers when it comes to understanding relationships, growth, and grace in the middle of real-life challenges.
I’m a Christian, and my faith shapes how I understand people and the work of counseling. I believe every person carries dignity and a story worth understanding. While my perspective is informed by my faith in Jesus, I’ve had the privilege of working with clients from a wide range of beliefs and backgrounds, and I’m committed to creating a space that is respectful, grounded, and genuinely helpful.
Wherever you find yourself today — individually or in your relationship — I’d be honored to walk with you for part of your story.
