Frequently Asked Questions

How much does it cost?

Rates vary based on the counselor and session type. Please contact us or request to schedule an appointment and we will respond within 48 hours to confirm your appointment request.

How will I pay?

We are primarily self-pay, however, one of our clinicians (JB Nesse) accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO and Aetna.

Does therapy work?

Yes. If you really want to improve, you can. It is not easy and it is not quick. However, you can and will find new meaning and perspective in life if you put in the work.

How long does therapy take?

Sessions are just under one hour. As for how long you'll be in therapy overall — it depends on your goals and what you're working on. Some clients find what they need in 3 months; others continue for years.

Is everything I say confidential? What are the exceptions?

Confidentiality is a critical aspect of counseling. What you share stays protected. There are a few exceptions required by law: if there is risk of harm to yourself or others, suspected abuse or neglect of a child or vulnerable adult, or a court order requiring disclosure.

What can I expect in my first session?

Your first session is a chance to get acquainted. Your therapist will share their background and approach, learn about yours, and cover practical details like fees and scheduling. For children 12 and under, the first session is typically a parent consultation.
